Why are we settling for mediocrity?

Why are we settling for mediocrity?

There was a time when a man/woman stood for something. Had a set principles, morals, and goals. We were innovators and not perpetrators, leaders and not followers. What happen to the greatness? Great, bold, and unique thinkers. Men/Women who knew the extra mile had to be traveled, and that it just came we the territory.

We need to push much harder than our forefathers and their forefathers. Stop the oppression of ideas and start with the creativity and innovation that made this country a model for others. Let's get away from the negativity and hate that has crippled and toppled regimes before us.

We need to focus on the greatness and not the doom and gloom. This is not just a pep talk, it is necessary for the survival of the human family. Notice that race was not included nor was it necessary. Stop riding on tires and let's start hovering over the ground, besides its 2013.

What are great men/women made of ? Answer:  Strength, determination, inspiration, and guts.

Stop letting these crappy jobs keep you in a rut people. Start making moves that count for something. Start redefining things for the better. Become job creators! people need places to work and this is a great place to began making an impact. Stop being sheep and become bold innovative leaders. Stop holding yourself and others down. If you can't be a leader at least be a good follower.

Why is our infrastructure in our U.S. cities starting to fall apart. Have we stopped focusing on quality? Why are cities becoming run down? This should not be happening in a great country like ours. We need to get off our butts and do something about it!

What defines a man?

 What Defines A Man?

Very basic question right? Wrong. Recently, this has become a growing and pressing issue in our society. With the independence of women and more men coming out as bisexuals . The role of a man has come into question. Some might say this is not a big deal. You be the judge. Remember a time when men were proud to be men. Now it just seems like men more than ever are questioning there roles in society. This is very scary, but it's a growing trend.

It's time that men reflect on what defines them. Men seem to be having a hard time fitting in nowadays. This might seem funny to some, but it's not to those that are struggling to have an identity in our society.
Men need to get back to the basics. What makes you feel good about being a man and respect the answer you give to yourself. Is it the football game you watch on Sundays? Or is it the baseball game you attend with your son. Is it the beer you have with your buddies. Whatever it is, you enjoy that feeling. Let's get back comfortable in our own skin's and roles that we assume.Let's get back to being macho. Let's get back to the things that made you feel great about being a provider and raising your son's to be men. Don't be afraid of being masculine. The sad truth is that our society is moving away from masculinity and leaving us looking like ancient dinosaurs. This might sound hilarious to some but it is so true. Let's look around. What do you see?

Red Tape

                 Red Tape

Why is there so much red tape? It's suppose to be getting easier to do things with technology. Why is it so hard to start a business? Why is getting good customer service so hard? Why does Congress have a hard time doing anything? Why is something as simple as getting your car repaired wrapped with red tape. Calling customer support is a nightmare. LOL! Red Tape. Voting is supposed to be simple. Nope, just more Red Tape. I am sick and tired of the Red Tape. Filing your taxes is supposed to be simple. Ah ha! More Red Tape. This is just my opinion, and others might see it differently. What's your opinion?

I want to open up an account at local bank. Uh ohhh!!!  more red tape. You would think this would be one of the most simple things to do in the world. Think again. The bank has hidden fees. Fees for almost every little transaction. If you are like me you work hard for your money and don't appreciate people or banks pinching off your bottom line. Hey people you got start paying attention to these banks and their crappy little fees.  More red tape to make your life miserable.

OOoohhh!!! and don't get a traffic ticket in a small town. This can end up being a real disaster. This small town might not be tech savvy enough, so that you can make your payments over the phone or online. Yes! in 2013 you still can not get them the payment without mailing it to them. And the nerve of these people to put crazy unrealistic deadlines on these tickets. lol! There ought to be a law against this mess.

Lesson: Always perform a check on your license to make sure you are up to date. If you do happen to get a ticket in a small town make arrangements to pay this ticket immediately. I mean asap!!

Here is my customer service nightmare. I know y'all been waiting for this one. This would piss off the most devote christian. I purchased a printer from Best Buy at the end of 2011. It was a Kodak. Yeah I'm calling you out Kodak. lol! I did lot's of research on this product. I was very confident in my decision when I purchased this product. Please don't laugh. I hear the snickering. LOL! Okay Okay!!! This printer had to work for at least 12 months before tapping out. Meanwhile my older Canon continues to print with no problem. I know you are gonna ask was it under warranty. And you know that I am gonna tell you no. lol! Im pissed!

So of course I call customer support and get my friend from India, who claims that his name is Jimmy. lol! yeah right! I know this hustle from the very beginning. Jimmy informs me after reading his script that the product which is the printer head is not under warranty. If that was not insult to injury Jimmy informs me that I would have to pay for a new printer head and two new cartridges of ink that I just purchased from Office Depot.

People! why in the hell would I buy another thing from these guys. Who makes a printer that can't survive past a year. You would think that this company would be so embarrassed that their product malfunctioned that they would ship me a new printer head and two cartridges immediately. You would think that this company would apologize for my inconvenience and ask me to stay brand loyal and explain that this is not what their company is about. But noooooo! These guys decided to kick me when I was down.

Why is our country so divided?

It seems that our country is still divided politically, economically, racially, and religiously. Could it be that we just have lack of respect for other people's ideologies. The perfect place to start with curing this ill, is with mutual respect in all aspects. Understanding and respecting others is the best way to move forward in this country. This happens to be the best country in the world and we should treat it as such. We are not perfect. Who is? We can learn and grow from each other. Compromising seems to be so distance in the mindset of most Americans. How can this country with so much upside become so stagnated? We must focus on what gives this country strength and give future generations a chance to make their impact in this world. We must regain that patriotic pride that made people proud to be Americans.
